REAL-ESTATE PROPERTY
Challenge:
Ensure a major office complex avoids long-term damage to its reputation and business after three people were killed and two wounded in its facility during working hours.

What we did:
Provided crisis-management counsel and media-relations assistance to reinforce to existing and potential tenants that this was an isolated incident and the office complex was a safe place to work. We handled many tenant inquiries and concerns, and coordinated and moderated tenant town-hall meetings.

What we accomplished:
Several positive and supportive stories, reinforcing our key messages, were published in newspapers and broadcast on television. Area law-enforcement officials applauded the communications as a model for others. Tenant occupancy remains unchanged (95%) one year later.
